I went out last night with my colleagues after dropping off my bike. At Rosenbrau a guy called me over for a photo, and then I recognised Ee Sung Hee, from the Ilsan Triathlon Club. They are still freshly sunburnt from the Jeju Superman triathlon (and both were wearing pink Superman shirts, and wearing the same shirts the next morning in the black bus), where Ee Sung Hee came 3rd, and the other one came 2nd.
I came home at about 1am, and then did something really crazy. My camera was working perfectly, so I decided to downloaded the video I'd captured of Fransa and me. This kept me occupied until about 4am. Now, during the whole day I was functioning on the power of a flickering penny light battery. I was a zombie at 6:45am when I forced myself out of bed.
The black bus was stuffed full of people. My Polar says it was 35 degrees celcius outside, and also very humid. Fortunately the bus has very powerful air conditioning.
I am now at Kumho Resort after a nice 15 minute swim in the sea around the buoys (1 lap of a 2 lap course). I swam through a shower of jellyfish. I was about to erupt out of the water and run over the surface of the sea to beach in a circus of arms and legs, but they just flaoted softly over me, like breaths of air. They didn't sting me, but they stung another guy who didn't have a full length wetsuit. Will take care tomorrow, of my neck and face.
Was nice and cool swimming in the sea and lying on the beach for a change.
I am feeling very fat and uncomfortable (I could never function for very long as an overweight person without being incredibly unhappy with myself and just plain irritated with it), so I see tomorrow's triathlon as a form of intense liposuction. I hope to run out at least 1 kg tomorrow and then keep it up from there over the next few weeks.
I am now off to get some sleep, otherwise I might become a zombie...
