NVDL's 7 Best Blogs For Right Now
There are some blogs I visit daily (like The Oil Drum), others a visit a few times a week (like Kunstler.com and a few others), but sometimes the time is just right for a blog. Here are a couple of blogs worth looking at right now:
Ryk Neethling - blogging from the Olympic Village
Ryk started blogging as soon as he touched down in Daegu, Korea. That's not the Olympic village, but I imagine that coverage is due any day now. It still fascinating to hear what Ryk's experience is.
Jake White's Rugby Blog
Interesting to see this was done on a blogger platform. It looks promising except that Jake's last post (at the time of writing) was about 10 days ago, and 20 days before that was another post. I'd like to know what he thought about the All Black victory over the Wallabies yesterday, but I'm not sure how long to hold my breath. Jake also has a Youtube channel.
yeondoo jung
An interesting blog by a creative Korean artist.
Steve Schofield
A photoblog for the bored.
Topleftpixel
Still one the best (and simplest) photoblogs in the world. Click on the 'day before/day after' section on the topleft of the image (hence topleftpixel) to navigate.
The Oil Drum
This is the most intelligent and comprehensive commentary I've found on the web on the oil situation. It is still considered 'fringe', although the time lag for their ideas to hit the mainstream are decreasing rapidly as oil prices wake up, and society finds it increasingly difficult to maintain their rose tinted daydreams.
Stuff White People Like
This blog is devoted to stuff that white people like, updated daily. It's well written, clever, and slightly tongue in cheek. I'm started to visit this blog every day now.
