It's a done deal - Dark Knight is approaching $600 million.
The Dark Knight conquered the North American box office for a third straight weekend and is close to smashing the record for the fastest film to gross $US400 million ($430 million).
The Warner Brothers film has already seized the record for best opening and second weekends - $US158.4 million and $US75.2 million - and has become the fastest film to reach the $US200 million and $US300 million marks.
