World Made By Bicycle

No technology exists to run the world highway systems the way we're running them...except bicycles. Bicycles represent a current world technology which require zero fossil fuels (energy bars suffice). Bicycles represent not only the cleanest technology out there, but also the most efficient and as an added bonus - it's a very healthy way to get around (for people and everyone else).

Obviously people living really far from work (and separated by mountain ranges) might need special incentives to pedal to work. Why not offer them an hour or two less working time - chances are those who have the guts and the motivation to cycle work are probably more motivated and harder working than other staff members.

I truly believe we need to seriously consider bicycles as 'an alternative technology' for commuting and other traffic related activities during the near and medium term.
