7 Things You Shouldn't Do On Facebook

SHOOT: Facebook is a great resource for profilers or for those who mean you harm. So protect your privacy, and don't wear your heart completely on your sleeve. My advice is never to communicate too clearly where you live, or where you are going. Doing so afterwards is fine.
In a more general sense, don't look for trouble with your 'friends'. Yes you can make a few silly or mischievous comments, but if you notice it is spiralling downwards, stop immediately. It was probably a misunderstanding both ways and the consequences could be, well, not worth it - and you could have your account suspended.

Leaving Your Full Birth Date in Your Profile

It's an ideal target for identity thieves, who could use it to obtain more information about you and potentially gain access to your bank or credit card account. If you've already entered a birth date, go to your profile page and click on the Info tab, then on Edit Information. Under the Basic Information section, choose to show only the month and day or no birthday at all.
