SHOOT: Bafana will have to watch out for 27 year old Chris Killen. Here's why:
27 caps, he's a striker for Celtic (and that's not Bloiemfontein Celtic), 15 goals.
Killen is a rare breed – a New Zealander who has made his mark at the top level.
Along with Blackburn Rovers’s Ryan Nelsen, who is injured and misses the Confederations Cup, Killen is the country’s most successful player, though his star appears to be fading after Celtic loaned him to Norwich earlier this year.
He got his break following a successful trial at Manchester City as a 17-year-old .
His first senior club appearances came during a loan spell at Wrexham in September 2000 and the following season he was loaned to Port Vale, scoring six goals in nine league games.
He made his international debut in 2000 and the All Whites will be looking to him to lead the front line in South Africa.
