NVDL: Things are looking ominous aren't they? Power supply crisis, water supply crisis, crime, AIDS, corruption...and the reason for all this? A leadership crisis. Isn't it true though that for as long as we allow our leaders to do buggerall, we, the electorate are actually at fault. Isn't it up to us to get off our lazy asses, and start a street protest, start doing freaking something except moaning, groaning and blogging? Of course it is. We need to transition from passive consumers to active citizens, not just in South Africa, but everywhere. Elect a leader and then follow up. Not: elect a leader, then moan, wring our hands and give up until the next election.
For a variety of reasons we will have to make mindset and lifestyle shifts. The sooner the better.
