Muscle Mania

The 20/20 cricket world cup tournament was displayed on the Technogym console at Old Eds. I only noticed this last night, in a last ditch attempt to get some training in for the day.

In the back to the rows of treadmills, the latest LCD screen technology is being used. They work a lot like a games console. You can see a full view of various TV channels (I watched the cricket) and you can choose to locate your exercise stats on the periphery of the screen (a feature often associated with the typical game console).

Since you tend to look slightly downward while running, it makes sense to be able to watch TV on your console, not from suspended TVs (asking you to look up while your legs must find a spinning carpet underneath the runner).

I also had a quick swin, and then a fast session on Facebook and came out the gym feeling refreshed and happy. I did have a queer thought though:
Shouldn't homosexuals have separate locker rooms?

This question causes a host of problems.

1) You can't have separate locker rooms for homosexuals because it's no different to letting a guy loose in a girl's locker room
2) You can't have the gays changing in the girls locker rooms either, because some 'pretenders' will definitely pick up on that one, and the ladies would never stand for that anyway.

I just feel uncomfortable with the fairly overt male nudity going on, and the likely shenanigans. Just before my swim I saw a young man emerge from the sauna, and on his tail, an older man who followed him out of the sauna to the showers. I could almost see his tail wagging. Did I mention this was just before the gym was about to close?

My weight has picked up since the weekend's feasting: 86.4kg (shortly after supper)
Happily I did notice a few (of my own) muscles rippling...seems like all this exercise is buffing up the body after all.
