I've been to London, Paris, Edinburgh, Seoul, Munich, Singapore - but never made it to Amsterdam. I recently watched a Discovery Channel documentary and am really keen to go. Beyond the open-mindedness, what interests me is that it is largely my cultural heritage. It's a centre of art in Europe, and some of that magic definitely runs through my veins, along with other Dutch traits.
I'm interested to visit Amsterdam in summer, sample the...er...highlights...and cycle the countryside. Spain and Iceland also interest me, and if I was really flush, maybe Italy. Except that Europe is a notoriously expensive place to travel, and my favorite way to travel tends to favor places off the beaten track, not really museums and coffee shops.
I'm day dreaming of course. Europe is possibly further away than South Africa is.
