Swine Flu in Australia: 12 dead, 5,298 confirmed cases

SHOOT: I find South Africa's current figure for swine flu infection [30] highly questionable when looking at Argentina's, Australia's and New Zealand. I guess they didn't present a Confederations Cup Soccer match - that may be the crucial difference.

July 6 (Bloomberg) -- Australian health authorities say a
Darwin, Northern Territory, man who contracted swine flu is the
country’s 12th death related to the virus.

Eight people with the H1N1 influenza virus, aged between 18
and 49, are currently in intensive care units in New South Wales,
the Department of Health said in a statement. Five have
underlying health risks such as obesity, lung disease and
diabetes, it said.

Australia’s swine flu tally stands at 5,298 confirmed cases,
with 24 people in intensive care around the country, according
to Department of Health and Ageing figures released yesterday.
