5am + seven and a half minutes (please!)

Since there was no rain this morning, there could also be no excuses. Ja, it was bitterly cold - not bitterly as in wintery cold - just a chilly snap, and 6 degrees C in October is enough to bite. I was surprised to see quite a few guys in Oxford Road.

Here are the stats...

Total time: 1:55
Distance: 50km (did an extra 100m around the front door to get the round figure!)
Average Heart Rate: 145 (max 168)
Speed: 26.7km/h avg (90.2km/h max)
Altitude Average: 1539m (1415 min/1606 max)
Temperature: 6 min, 7 average, 9 max
Ascent: 505m
KCal: 1664

Sorry I don't have a graph, but my home computer is being upgraded. Was a tough ride since Monday's 2 x 20 min runs were still sitting in my legs, and I was trying to thaw! Good though. Beautiful morning and quite a nice bunch of us.

We joked at the end of the ride that meeting at 5am is freakin' early. Can't we meet at 5 minutes past 5, or even 7 and a half minutes. For that vital bit of extra sleep.

Riding again Friday and doing the Race for Victory on Sunday, my first race in a LONG time. Should be good.
