This was one of the greatest natural disasters in recorded history

SHOOT: Seems there is more behind small talk about the weather than meets the eye. At the link below are 4 other major natural disasters. Personally I find the first one the most terrifying - killer tornados moving at 100km/h for 360km, tearing a mile wide gouge into the earth. Check it out.
Bhola Cyclone
The 1970 storm, nicknamed the Bhola Cyclone, proved to be one of the greatest natural disasters in recorded history, even though it only made landfall as a Category 3 storm. Fatality estimates range from 300,000 to one million people, although most estimates put the tally at 500,000 people.
Bangladesh's delta is one of the most fertile croplands in the world, with several rivers pouring silt and nutrients into its soil. Because of this, the region is also one of the most densely populated in the world, despite the inherent topographical dangers in living in there. The danger stems from two main factors. First, a good portion of the country is barely above sea level.
The second factor is that the rivers (three major ones and several smaller rivers) and the shape and geography of the coastline act to draw water farther inland than would typically occur, increasing the chance and severity of flooding.
