Had quite a good discussion today with the editor on my having a more meaningful role in the publication, so am looking forward to a few additional fruits.
Also, after a fairly socially quiet time, and seeing a few different corners growing green shoots of life again, some new people, some from a long time back that I never got to know. Overall, exciting stuff.
My trip to Cape Town at the end of the week will be a good change of scene. It will be good to see family there, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, and then also do a little work in some beautiful seaside settings. Looking forward to that. Gavin Hood said something. If you want to grow, you have to go on a journey. You don't learn anything staying at home.
