Hey Little Girl
Hey little girl
It was another hot day in South Africa today
so much so I jumped into the pool.
Halfway through teaching we saw a vervet monkey scampering down from a big pine tree. He made for the orchard, where some small fruits were just starting to ripen.
Had 4 close calls on the road today, 2 in the morning, and 2 on my way here. Once again, people seem to think, if you're on a bicycle, you don't really exist. The other thing is, when you're in a car, with the air conditioning on, and the radio, and your toe and fingertips with access to so much power, it's easy to be caught up in the dreamy illusion that you are an all-powerful being. Of course, when you squash a cyclist like a grape, and the blood sinks into the road, that illusion bursts on site.
Meanwhile, on Ohmynews I've managed to earn my next W100 000. Took a while though.
Have felt a little run down - just tired I think - this week. Need to refresh and sharpen the saw. Need to do some different things, visit different places.
But first tomorrow's 100km cycle race (instead of another half standard at Maselspoort).
I'll provide details of that race when I'm back here on Monday.
