Here's Osaka's subway map, not that you even need it. You start at Kanzai on the beige line at the bottom (see circle) and you arc straight up and get off where it ends, and then you walk left and up towards the junction of the red and pink lines. You're walking on the red (Vertical) line towards the consulate and Holiday Inn, or Midosuji Line. I don't have any pictures of Namba because I was jogging through it (and sprinting on my way back). It's basically a walk down two Staircases, and you simply follow the signs for Shinsaibashi, but I have to say it was quite confusing even when you do follow the signs. Basically you head out, and are faced with a very black building covered in fishnet stockings (or I was, in June 2005) making sure you walk at right angles to the Station when it is behind you. You walk into a line of black taxis, walk along the road a bit, then cross it, and should soon walk by a Subway (Sandwich) on your left, and cross the road under a big bridge (flyover).
