Back In the Outback

I'm finding it so easy to fall back into patterns that I thought I had left behind in South Africa. One is watching movies, another TV (especially the news), another is reading the news on the internet. I think the reason is, unless you have a nice group of people to hang out with on a consistent basis, you end up seeking escape in other things. I'd probably drink more if I wasn't into sport to the degree that I am, same with eating.

The pattern I need to cultivate is one of training (exercise), and of work, and possibly writing.

It's important to anticipate change, as opposed to react to change. It's also important to use time effectively...not to waste it. The same goes for money.

In the Outback restuarant today a redheaded girl approached Corneli. She is South African and married to a Korean guy. She's been here about as long as I have. She is also not keen on learning Korean as she feels she isn't understood even when she tries to speak it.

Brian called earlier this evening. We are going to have breakfast with him tomorrow morning at his apartment, with Maike. Should be interesting.
