I remember it was an oddly awkward time. I had been really high after doing the Ironman earlier that year, and then two concurrent boughts of illness, plus the move back to Korea, plus the attempt to find a new job and place to live was just really unpleasantly stressful. Compared to that, I'm doing great right now.
Even in 2006 my circumstances were still pretty grim. On April 26 I'd just started working at Brebner High School, in Bloem. It is easily the most exhausting, energy and spirit sapping 6 months of my life. Read Bird on a tap to see what that was all about.
