Bhutto - I Saw It Coming

Bhutto survived an earlier assasination plot in December, where she was stuck in a snaking traffic jam surrounded by a chaotic throng of people. Around that time Pervez extended the deadline for elections. It was then that I began to wonder: is this to allow for more downtime - more opportunity - to knock her off?

If you've seen some footage of where Bhutto went, with stifling crowds always pushing in, you've got to wonder what she was thinking. Wasn't she nervous? Was her ambition biting at the nails of caution? Was she playing the odds that time was on her side, and just a few more speeches and she'd push through?

It is scary that it is now the year 2007 and we are still living in a world where leaders are assassinated and the word genocide pops up, sometimes in Europe, sometimes Africa, sometimes Asia.

I fear human beings will never grow up. Who said as long as there are human beings, there will be war?
