Health Check

No training since the weekend. I've picked up another cough. I believe it's less a case of catching a cold again, and more, hanging out with smokers and in smoky places.
I woke up with that familiar dry and scratchy throat and runny nose that you get after a late night filled with beer and smoke.
Not being a smoker myself, and suffering from Swimmer's Lung (the ability to take unusually deep breaths), I'm pretty sensitive to second hand smoke.
Over the weekend when we went to have lunch at the Spur, I realised I was the only one at the table (7 of in total) not smoking.

I'm not quite sure how to solve this problem. I don't blame the people around me who are smoking. I am just trying to avoid being sick. So what to do? Break up with my girlfriend? Put a gag order - well, not quite, how about a zero-tolerance order for smoking on her family (and mine, come to think of it).Or buy a surgical mask?
Or just get onto the open road, into the great outdoors...

I expect to at least be back in the gym tomorrow, possibly do a moderate cycle too.

If my health doesn't improve, I may head back to the East Coast, probably Jeffreys Bay, and relax by the sea, and watch the surf.
At this point I'm caught between going before Christmas or after New Year.
