Conservative Christian Prejean calls Larry King 'inappropriate'

Prejean's reluctance to open up to Larry King comes as a surprise, after a week spent speaking candidly to the media about a video, rumored to be involved in her sudden settlement with the pageant organization, that Prejean claims she made for an ex-boyfriend. On Tuesday, she told the "Today" show that the video was "the biggest mistake of my life."

Prejean has spent the past few months in demand as a public speaker at conservative Christian events.

The former Miss California was there to promote her new book, "Still Standing," her account of the year since she gained instant fame by denouncing gay marriage at the Miss USA pageant. Prejean was stripped of her crown for contract violations, which led her to sue the pageant organization, alleging religious discrimination, among other charges. Last week the two sides abruptly settled their dispute.

After talking to King about Sarah Palin, whom she called her hero, Prejean became combative when asked about her motivations for settling, repeatedly claiming that King was being "inappropriate" by asking the questions.

Even after King reframed his question to make it clear that he wasn't asking about confidential mediation or the settlement amount, Prejean, smiling and asking questions of someone outside of the frame of the camera, continued to say, "You're being inappropriate," until she finally removed her microphone and ended the interview.
