Popovych Attacks: Popovych is now in the lead of the stage. He has gone ahead and Pate of the Garmin team is nestled in on his wheel.
The 13 Stage Leaders: Here is the list of those who escaped at the 3km mark: Haussler (CTT), Voigt (SAX), Pate (GRM), Riblon (ALM), Pellizotti (LIQ), Vaugrenard (FDJ), Auge (COF), Duque (COF), Righi (LAM), Fedrigo (BBO), Devolder (QSI), Fothen (MRM) and Geschke (SKS).
Astana & Euskaltel Lead Peloton: There are two Euskaltel riders swapping off with several Astana riders at the front of the peloton which is now in Saint-Laurent-de-Neste (at the 18km mark).
Ivanov Attacks: Sergeui Ivanov and Botcharov (KAT) have attacked the peloton.
Front Group Splits: Jens Voigt has caused the front group to split. Pellizotti, Duque and Fedrigo have been able to follow the German.
Armstrong Attacks: Armstrong has attacked the peloton around the 20km mark. He has been followed by Nocentini and now the acceleration has eased.
