Department spokesperson Fidel Hadebe said Northern and Western Cape had confirmed cases recently. The department advised those who displayed flu- like symptoms within seven days of being in contact with someone with swine flu – or travelling abroad – to seek medical help. According to SABC news, about 22 members of the South African Youth Choir were stranded yesterday at Dubai International Airport after they were advised not to board a flight to Seoul, Korea, because of an outbreak of swine flu. They were due to take part in an international choral competition.
