Ferrigno says Jackson was in great shape, but worries over debt 'killed him'

Ferrigno, a former Mr Universe, said. "He only ate once a day. But I just told him the proper supplements to take. The most important thing was the attitude, the mind because he really wanted to be in his best shape."

SHOOT: Diprivan may have been the final straw, but he was using it to treat insomnia, and why couldn't Michael sleep? Because he was troubled. By his finances. $400 million in debt. He had to make a huge success, he had to put on 50 shows, and failure was not an option. He was staying in rented accomodation, worrying about money.

Michael Jackson was killed by the stress of dealing with debts of £250 million, according to his friend and trainer the Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno.

Ferrigno, the bodybuilder who played the Hulk, was training Jackson ahead of his 50 concert dates at the O2 Arena in London.

He said: "He was under tremendous stress, so much I think it killed him. The debts put a huge strain on him. He was $400 million in debt."

Ferrigno, 57, dismissed claims that the singer was "frail" and drug addicted and said he had looked "fantastic".

He had been going to Jackson's rented home in Los Angeles up to four times a week and had his final training session three weeks ago. He said he saw no signs of drug use.

He said: "I don't know anything about his personal life but at the time I was with him he seemed fine to work, no pain at all. He did a lot of stretching and when you have a lot of pain you can't stretch. When I saw him he looked fantastic. I have never seen him look better.

  2. Sounds like the trainer was just saying that MJ was 'fine' during the time of his death. He would say that because if he wasn't, and he was the trainer, he'd be liable, wouldn't he, for negligence. And why would a personal trainer say, "My job's not as important as your health, take it easy." He'd rather say - c'mon, let's train, GOOOOOD JOB.
