Farrah Fawcett dies from anal cancer - which happens as a result of...you guessed it

According to ABC News, the human papilloma virus or HPV, a sexually transmitted infection, can cause anal cancer although that does not mean Fawcett was promiscuous. The news outlet quoted Dr. Jay Brooks chairman of the department of hematology and oncology at Ochsner Clinic Foundation and Hospital in Baton Rouge, La as saying Fawcett was probably exposed to HPV at some point in her life. HPV may not be the only risk factor. According to the National Cancer Institute, having multiple sexual partners, having receptive anal intercourse, smoking, and certain anal conditions can also cause anal cancer.
