While they were giving the race briefing, I quickly went to my car and snapped a few photos. On my way back I walked by Erhard Wolfaardt. He is an incredibly tall, thin, Free State based triathlete. He did a blistering 15:59 run.
In the water I saw and greeted Kate Roberts (also a Vrystater). She came second in the sort of time I'd be happy with. Kate had a similar bike split to mine, but ran a 20 minute 5km. Quite nifty.
