Lara Croft is from Croydon

A RECEPTIONIST plucked from obscurity to become the real-life Lara Croft already has her first mission - to find herself a man!

NVDL: I wonder if her being 'single' is a marketing ploy. Lara is also single, so perhaps they've asked her to stay 'single' for the duration.

Single Alison Carroll, 23, from Croydon was today unveiled as the public face
and body of the Tomb Raider cyberbabe after beating hundreds of other girls
to the coveted role.

The role was previously played by ex-Top Shop worker Karima Adebe.

Tomb Raider games are a phenomenon across the world and have sold more than 32
million copies since the first was released in 1996. They also spawned two
blockbuster movies starring Angelina Jolie.
