Mixed Emotions

Interesting day. Interest rates went up by a measly .5%. The reserve Bank knows that consumers are going to be crushed by rising petrol prices for the next 6 months, probably the next 36 months consecutively - at least until the economy implodes. My aunt also called me and said Peter Pickford had seen my photographs hanging in the gallery at Veldrif and said they were good - good composition, balanced use of light and color. He said I have a 'good eye.' Nice to hear that from one of SA's best photographers. My aunt also says she has submitted a book - ANGOLA - to a publisher. A work of fiction. Interesting.
Also had a great session in the gym. Weight is 83.3kg. Spent 10 minutes at HR 130, 10 at 140 and 10 at 150-160 before winding down over 10 minutes back to 130. Then I did 12 pullups.
Yesterday I noticed two different newspapers, the Beeld and Citizen both reporting on the Million Man March - in Beeld: Genoeg is Genoeg. In the Citizen: Enough is Enough. We're still a long way from a turning point in strain levels.
