South Africa set 2006 as a deadline for upgrading its refineries...to allow for more unleaded petrol. These upgrades have fallen behind. Some petrol stations in the Cape and Gauteng are without fuel, and Cape Town International Airport ran out of aviation fuel. This doesn't really have any relevance to Peak Oil, except that it provides a glimpse of what can happen in a crises. What happens? People realise they can do almost nothing, and start to get angry.  Posted by Picasa
