Feeling Yippee

I think it's swimming in an outdoor pool, unfettered, in silk soft sunfilled water - all this white light bouncing against my eyeballs.
Also met some old friends (rivals) at the pool. Vic wasted no time in asking me:
1) Who's your wife?
2) What age group are you?

Anyway, I like it.

Swim: 2km
Time: 51:41
5x200m
10x100m

And I have to admit, with some guilt, it's wonderful to be driving around on a sunny day, cool air swimming through your superman t-shirt. It's partly summer's fault. Summer in South Africa is like sunscream that only lets the good rays in...and you're left with a rosy glow...and after a few more weeks...a toned and beautiful body.

Last night unwittingly went to a network marketing get together. Met some people I knew there in a beautiful multi storied house designed by Louis Louw (whoever he is). Interesting (actually strange, if I am being honest) set of people.
But it made me realise Rocketboy is going to fundamentally change ALL ways of consumption, even the network marketing lark, which pretends to be direct marketing, but just creates a false sense of agency, and a false sense of direct efficiency.

I have a braai at home waiting for me, and a bicyle wheel that's lost its magnet (being built on now at Cyclopede), and a rubber for my Oakleys (do I sound like an out of control consumer?) and another braai this evening at Fransa's brothers place.
My brother is going to Cape Town to do the last Cape Argus qualifier (bicycle race).
I wish I was going with...but even if I could, I am nowhere near ready.

Left leg is twinging a bit from yesterdays track work. But a bit of pain is good. I am wasting no time now in getting back into shape. It was inspiring to train with Mauritz and Jean yesterday. Mauritz has already done the Hawaiian Ironman, and Jean came past me on the bike in PE. Will be good to travel on the road to the next Ironman with them. Casey said he would like to do the Ironman too. We'll see.

I also had a very nice afternoon yesterday. I belive, with my health back, there's nothing else to be but yippee!
