We ate at this Spur in Aliwal. It's right beside this building that you have to choose between a road that takes you to Queenstown...a faster, better road...or another route...that SEEMS shorter on the map...taking you to MacLear. We went on the MacLear route which is far, far more scenic, and came back on the faster route. The 'Forgotten Road' took 9 hours (maybe 7 and a half of actual driving,and 1 and a half eating and taking photos along the side of the road), but I took plenty of photos, the more direct route through Queenstown took less than 6 (of actual driving), not including our long stop in Butterworth.
