Went to the pool with Andrea and it was a lot emptier than usual. One of the Korean dudes, a regular swimmer (I forget his name) said everyone is watching the soccer - Korea vs Iraq.
Andrea's not a bad swimmer. She says she made the swim team at age 5 and then swam full time for quite a while. She'll need to get goggles otherwise she's gonna have a doe-eyed look after every session.
It was nice to be in the water again. Felt like I was dragging a waterfilled balloon around my belly button. But also felt comfortable and good at various stages.
Swim: 1.5km
Time: 40:08
Best 100m: 1:29
Best 25m : 13 seconds.
In the shower the same guy whose name I can't remember commented, "Haven't you put on weight?" I was like, "Yes I know, I want to lose 5 kilograms as soon as I can."
He said, get this, "More like 7 kilograms."
Thanks buddy. He's right though:
Weight: 85.4kg
I intend to make this the maximum boundary. Last year it was 80kg. I don't want to hit 86kg from now on.
After the swim Andrea reminded me that I'd mentioned Vinceanne's farewell dinner. Think she disappointed that I passed that up. I met one of my Kang's adult students. Very nice to see her again. We actually had a great dinner, and really delicious too. Both of us were a little bleary-eyed from a lack of sleep. Glad I wasn't the only one.
Will try to swim again on Sunday.
