If you're a South Africa, get yourself here before you go to Japan. The Visa costs W32 000 and if you get here before 11:30am you can probably get it the same day. If you come later, 1:30pm - 4pm, you had better be very nice and have a good reason, or you'll have to come back. One more thing: the nearest photo shop is a rip off, W15 000 for 4 photos is daylight robbery. Bring your own color pictures, and if you've left it late, get some at Gwanghwamun subway, alongside the telephone booths and fishtanks. Make sure you have 5xW1000 notes, and don't try as hard as I did to look happy. Maybe pull your tongue out instead.
