Must Read

1. Into the Wild - John Krakauer
2. Ideas and Opinions - Albert Einstein
3. Lives of the Monster Dogs - Kirsten Bakis

In New York City, in 2008, dogs arrive. These dogs, with prosthetic hands and artificial voice boxes, walking upright and dressing in the height of fashion (circa 1890), through their charm and money, quickly become the town's favorite celebrities. It may sound like a children's novel, but it's anything but. Kirsten Bakis' LIVES OF THE MONSTER DOGS is violent, literate, and hypnotic.
