Hard to say which way.
I am a few days away from the Argus. I cycled on Sunday, and didn't feel too hot. Have felt feverish today as well, although I feel better. I have no pain in my throat or ears now. I just feel like I need one or two more days to completely recover. That's just about all I have.
I watched Green Man Flashing last night. Interesting, though more drammatic than I had anticpated, and more serious than amusing I felt. I also got jolted in my seat when the actress, playing Anna, took off all her clothes and got into the bath. Couldn't quite follow the dialogue at that point.
Had a rivetting evening afterwards, listening to how Ane has come to be engaged and will be married the day before the Ironman. That is a story on its own. What could I call it: The Rebellion, The Chance, The Boy From Bahrain?
I got the results of the blood test and they are in a word, (and this ain't my word), PERFECT. So no hiding places there.
I know someone who did the New Zealand Ironman but the results are still pending. I'm hoping his race is going to be a wake up call for me.
A rumor is also floating around that my brother isn't doing the Argus.
I had a great meeting with Professor Greyling and Susan from the Free State Universities English Department. I felt we were on the same field, and speaking the same language, and I felt a connection, which is more than I had even hoped for. I thought the discussion unfolded very nicely, and some groundwork was laid for a possible relationship in the future, which might be really interesting.
Tomorrow I have an interview with Alna at Xposure, which should be enjoyable.
Two more days in Bloemfontein and then who knows where I will be...
Cape Town, PE and beyond. A lot is happening now and over the next few days. It's hard to take it all in.
I feel I need one excellent nights sleep, peaceful, restful, rejuvenating sleep) and then I will be rejuvenated and ready for the two stages that are being set on the peninsula and around Nelson Mandela Bay.
