Junior Championships at the Stadium. Michael Meyer, a 12 year old boy, the son of a good friend of mine (we swam together once) was made team captain of the Gauteng team. He won the 400m Free and the medley, and came 3rd in the 200m free. In his mother's words, "He's the smallest boy in the field (by far) but he has the biggest heart."
