Black Oystercatchers

I forgot to mention that we saw some very endangered black oystercatchers while running. They have black bodies, and long red beaks, and there really aren't many left. As we approached they started squeaking, so we made a giant arc around them, and so they didn't fly away.

Wow, it's suddenly raining cats and dogs outside. Just a sudden downpour. CJ and dad have gone to get Debonnair's Pizza.

I have to decide whether to return to Bloem on Sunday, or stay a day or two more in Jeffrey's Bay to possibly get my license which is being processed (or not being processed) in Humansdorp. If I do that I can hire a car and basically get going wherever I want to go.

It makes sense to go back to Cape Town because I'll probably be in Bloem for the whole (or most) of February, and I can prepare there in a nice setting for cycling, for the Mykonos triathlon. I also haven't seen Marcelle, or gone to Llandudno. Bloem though offers an environment which will provide me with the routine I need to really up my game. And I really need to do that. I can also just start the whole licensing process in Bloem. It's very 50/50 at this stage.

I'm not very impressed with Kang's (what else is news). I haven't been paid on time, as agreed, so I might very well have to go back to the school and shout at the skelm at the helm. When it comes to money, he takes every chance he can. I guess with some people love is blind, with others greed overwhelms common sense.

Maybe it is just a simple delay. Let's hope so.
I need to up the ante on my training going into the weekend. The weather needs to play ball and I really need to rest and recover. My body has been feeling really sore and tired almost every day. I really need to not overdo it.

It's an odd dislocated feeling I still have, because my routine has gone, and I am in new environments every second day, and I am trying to focus and set goals. I want to relax and just be open to where I am and enjoy the time off, but I also need to set out some clear ideas what I need to do over the next few weeks, with regard to training, seeing people, pursuing a few work leads and looking at my financial situation and what sort of investments I need to make.

The downpour has stopped. No, it's just dripping steadily now. Cool fresh air. The good news is that summer here is magic!
