T Minus 1

Had a pretty good sleep last night, although towards the end I had a flurry of dreams, something involving my father and my brother and them telling me something about how little money I had. Not sure what that was about.

The skin on my hands, palmside, is peeling. It happens occasionally to me, and usually it is a sign of extreme stress. But today I worked with acid, in an experiment at school, and last night I actually disinfected my bathroom - this morning it was all sparkling clean. So that explains the skin. Hopefully I'll get a new layer by tomorrow.

My foot felt really sore. I was awake at 7am so I could have run hills then, but something just said to me, "Take it easy on your body. Be patient with it." Maybe it was Danielson's advice to ListenX2. So I decided to skip the run today.
Before my 13:30 meeting I quickly biked to the pool and it was pretty busy. I felt very stiff and sore, and after about ten minutes of swimming everyone had to stop for 10 minutes. It is one of the odd things in Korea. They have a compulsory 10 minute rest in the pool. I guess they reckon some people won't realise they are tired and drown.

I did 3X500m (I would have done 4 but for this absurd 10 minute rule) and did the last in 7:52. This is two seconds slower than my previous time, but I felt really good towards the end. After 1.5km I had to get out as it was 13:17 and I had to be at the meeting at 13:30. I was changed and on bike heading to school at about 13:26 and I got to the elevator at 13:30. I know my watch is one minute faster than the school so I didn't waste any time. I slotted my card in and as I pulled it out the digital 0 turned into a 1. 13:31. But the number on my card was 13:30. Absolutely perfect timing.

I wonder whether I should go for a cycle now. I feel a bit worn out.
