Today the dollar hit a four year low against the Korean currency.
More good news was that our currency, the Rand, leapt out of the R6.09 range it was in (it looked like to would soon slip to under R6.00) all the way up to R6.22. Let's hope it scales some dizzy heights again, especially just before my return to South Africa.
A swing in the currency can actually have a significant impact on the amount I have saved. Only a few percent change in the value of the currency can often be adding (or subtracting) the equivalent value of a months work.
